The excitement builds as each child receives their own personalised Nike kit, complete with their chosen name and number. The legendary Parents’ Match was a huge success – a chance for mums and dads to step up and show off their skills, and getting their opportunity to play with premier league legends.
We also saw a live Q&A session with Rooney, the much-anticipated Medal Ceremony, and the iconic birthday surprise for Wayne Rooney’s 40th birthday. Each day brought something new for the kids to enjoy, keeping the energy high and the smiles even bigger as the week continues.
The atmosphere reached another level when Rio Ferdinand made a surprise appearance to celebrate Rooney’s 40th birthday, joining in on the fun. We also saw another ambassador visit from the legendary Phil Jones. From the energy on the field to the celebrations off it, this was a week that perfectly captured the spirit of Football Escapes – legendary players, incredible families, and memories that will be talked about for years to come.
